I have a number of things that I am love to do, but the majority of my time is focus on family and work. When I can get away I am curling, playing golf or watching one of the New England Sports teams (unless it is college basketball season, then I'm following Nicole's Gonzaga Bulldogs).
I have been curling since the spring of 2014. I am a member of the Windy City Curling Club. Currently we curl out of Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, IL. When I move out to the Spokane, WA area, I will likely join the Lilac City Curling Club and the Coeur D' Alene Curling Club.
Curling is a wonderful sport-- it includes all of the complexities of chess, the physics of pool, and it is more physically demanding that you think. The amount of core strength it requires to move on the ice and sweep is amazing. Let's not forget the lunges that you need to do in order to deliver a stone.
One of the other great things about curling is the fact that is after a game the two teams sit down and have drink. Customarily, the winning team buys the first round and the losing team reciprocates on the second round. The teams discuss the games and just about everything else about curling.
